Central High got its name in 1921, when four small districts, Wolf Creek, Nellie, Prairie Center, and Pleasant Hill, combined into one high school district near the middle of them. The town did not incorporate until 1995, largely to avoid being annexed. It had 1,181 residents at the 2020 census and is spread out: mostly acreage homes north of State Highway 7 rather than a tight grid of streets.
We do not have a Central High office. Crews come from Elgin headquarters at 302 Commercial Loop, Suite 4, Elgin, with the Lawton satellite as backup. Same (580) 574-2383 line. See the Elgin hub.
Out here a water loss often starts somewhere you cannot see from the kitchen: a buried supply line from the well, a pressure tank, or a line to an outbuilding. We help find and stop the source, then extract and dry the house based on moisture readings. On homes with septic systems, a backup is a contaminated-water job, and we handle it with the cleaning and removal that requires, not just fans.
Rural fires tend to involve more water from firefighting and more outbuildings and stored equipment. We board up, tarp, separate what can be cleaned from what cannot, treat odor, and document contents for the claim. Grass fire smoke that reaches a house gets the same care.
Mold here usually follows a slow leak or a damp crawlspace. We fix the moisture first, contain the area, remove what cannot be cleaned, and dry before rebuilding.
With little tree cover across open country, hail and straight-line wind hit roofs hard. We tarp, dry what got wet, document for the carrier, and handle the rebuild on the same file.
