Medicine Park was built starting in 1908 as a resort town, and the cobblestone cabins and buildings from that era, hand-laid from native Wichita Mountains granite, are still what the town is known for. Cobblestone construction doesn't dry out or get demoed the way modern framing does; water gets into the mortar joints and stays there, and a lot of these properties now double as short-term rentals that need to be turned around fast. The dry brush and hillside terrain around town also carries real wildfire risk in a windy stretch.
We don't keep a Medicine Park storefront. Crews come from Elgin headquarters and the Lawton satellite. Call (580) 574-2383, staffed 24/7, including for rental-property owners who aren't local.
