Chickasha arrived with the Rock Island Railway in 1892, and the downtown historic district, the old Rock Island Depot, and the campus that's now the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma all date from that first wave of growth. During World War II the Wilson and Bonfils Flying School trained more than eight thousand Army Air Force pilots here, and the Borden General Hospital grounds are now part of Grady Memorial Hospital. That history means a lot of Chickasha's housing near downtown and the campus is genuinely old, brick and plaster construction that behaves differently than a 1990s subdivision when water gets into it.
We don't keep a Chickasha storefront. Crews come from Elgin headquarters and the Lawton satellite. Call (580) 574-2383, staffed 24/7.
