Wild Horse Creek runs right through Marlow, and a hard rain can push it out of its banks fast, flooding property near downtown and the Redbud Park area. Wind and hail hit both the historic buildings near the US-81 and Highway 29 junction and the newer subdivisions on the edges of town, and at Marlow's larger size, a single storm can generate claims across a wider range of property types than in the smaller towns nearby.
